On October 16, 2024, the international financial and economic forum BRICS-2024 (IFEF BRICS-2024 / IFE FORUM BRICS-2024) will be held at the Korston Club Hotel Kazan (Kazan, N. Ershova St., 1a). This event is an important part of Russia's BRICS Chairmanship in 2024.

  • Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, speaking about the priorities of Russia's chairmanship in BRICS, mentioned the development of economic partnership, cooperation in science and innovation, security and counter-terrorism, culture, and sports. Yury Ushakov, the Russian President's assistant for foreign policy, told TASS about Moscow's priorities, the prospects for BRICS development and expansion, and Western attempts to undermine this association. "The main event of Russia's chairmanship will undoubtedly be the BRICS Summit in Kazan from October 22-24. This will be the first summit in an expanded format. Cooperation within BRICS is a major vector of Russia's long-term foreign policy. This interaction aligns with our national interests and supports the formation of a fair multipolar world order, creating equal opportunities for all countries."

Sergey Alekseyevich Ryabkov is the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation under Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov. He holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. Ryabkov oversees bilateral relations with the countries of North and South America, issues of non-proliferation and arms control, the Iranian nuclear program, and the participation of the Russian Federation in the BRICS association.
